Kristen and Kyle. I just love these two. Some of you may know that I have known Kristen for a looooong time. She is one of my sisters best friends from GRADE SCHOOL. Yep, grade school. (My sis was in the wedding! It was so fun!)

I can't lie to you, I always get choked up at some point on a wedding day. I just do, I'm a sucker and I'm ok with that! However, THIS wedding had tears actually falling at maaaany points. It was so awesome to see little Kristen all grown up and GLOWING! Kyle loves her so much and literally looks at her the way all girls deserve to be looked at. Kyle's vows blew me away and all the personal touches on their day just made it so perfect. Kyle has a sister that lives in Switzerland right now and is pregnant and couldn't make the wedding. They had her record a reading and they played it during the ceremony in place of her being there. Such an amazing sweet gesture and made it feel like she was there with them. Kristen's dad's speech got me the most. Woo boy! With all that love and happiness came the dancing, lots and LOTS of dancing. This couple knows how to party, let me tell ya! A Bride's DJ kept the dance floor packed! One of my personal favorite parts of the day: the fact that there was a Disney sing along on the dance floor many times. (Aladdin, Lion King and Mulan to be exact.) And it was AWESOME!

What was your favorite part of your wedding day:

“It’s so hard to pick just one! Right after my dad “gave me away”, Kyle leaned in to kiss me just out of instinct! I said “not yet!” and we both started laughing which immediately took all my nerves away and made me so excited to get the ceremony over with so we could be married! Our DJ also played a few Disney songs that our bridal party and guests got really into. Everyone was singing along and acting out scenes from Lion King and Mulan - it was awesome!”

Any advice for couples in the planning process?

“Enjoy each and every moment of your wedding day. Don’t let a minor detail or deviation from THE PLAN stress you out, make a conscious choice to be calm and trust the months of effort and planning that got you here. The day will fly by so take a few minutes throughout the day and night to look around and soak it all in with your new spouse.”

“Everyone says this, but enjoy every moment and just experience the day. Looking back I do wish that I had taken more time to thank so many of the guests for coming and celebrating with us, so I would say make the best use of your time and mingle around as much as you can!”
